Professor Arnold Baker received his Bachelor of Arts from Asbury College and his Masters of Art from the University of Southern California, School of Cinema-Television. Starting out as an assistant editor on The Virginian in 1962, Baker worked on more than six feature films and over twenty-five television series including such hits as The Love Boat, Charlie s Angels and Colombo. Among his greatest achievements, however, are the hundreds of film students he has taught at USC s School of Cinematic Arts and the Art Center College of Design, many who now work as professional editors in the industry. Baker is a life member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He is a retired member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild and Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (where he was a member for over fifty years. He and his wife, Laverne, have two children and reside in Los Angeles.
